Everyone can expect the 2019 Dubai Shopping Festival to be bigger than ever. It’s not merely the usual month-long festival with bargains, events, raffles, and fireworks. Some malls in the UAE hosted a 12-hour sale with discounts of up to 90 percent on the first day of the festival. This sale will be on products in homecare, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. The malls that take part in the festival are the following: City Centre Deira, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Me’aisem, City Centre Mirdif, City Centre Barsha, and the City Centre Al Shindagha. The sale started at midday and continued until midnight of December 26.
This city-wide event happens from December 26 to February 2, 2019. From December 27, there will be discounts on different products at various designated locations every weekend. Information on this will be provided a day before the said date. The sale starts 10 AM every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until supply lasts. Such locations are near various Dubai real estate properties.
Daily raffles will be available for shoppers during the shopping festival, giving them the chance to win cash prizes such as Dh150,000 as the mega cash prize, an Infiniti QX50 which is one of the major Nissan car models. There are also other exciting activities to look forward to. One of these is the Market Outside the Box (MOTB) pop-up market returns to Burj Park from January 25 to February 2. There are stalls in the market that feature homegrown brands and the craft of local designers. Families can also enjoy roaming entertainment, play areas for kids, and vendors that serve street-style food items.
It can’t be considered a spectacle without the magnificent fireworks. During the shopping festival, the sky will light up with sparklers and large firework displays across a variety of locations such as the Dubai Creek, The Beach at JBR, and the Global Village and other high-end Dubai real estate areas. During New Year’s Eve, there was also a spectacular show for visitors and locals alike.
